Please Note:
- Class pre-requisite:
-Swim 300 yards nonstop using only freestyle and breaststroke.
-Tread water for 2 minutes using only legs (hands must be kept under the armpits).
-There is also a timed swim retrieving a 10lbs brick from the bottom of the pool, 20 yards out.

Communication is important!
Communication plays vital role in lifeguard’s job. Every shift you will need to send detailed messages to each guest both verbally and non-verbally. Lifeguard must ensure that they are using a clear and direct tone to communicate the message of safety to each guest.

Lifeguard qualifications
Must have current certification in American Red Cross (or it’s equivalent)
-Lifeguard Training
-Professional CPR
-First Aid
Swim Instructor qualifications
-Previous experience teaching swim lessons or WSI desired.
-Other teaching experience considered.
