Swim Center has wild way to stay cool

Diving off the diving boards, sliding down the water slides, climbing the rock wall, swimming inside or outside, are all open at the Carson Valley Swim Center.

With the heat rolling in many kids and families are taking advantage of it to stay cool.

Even Arizonan Tyler Anderson, 11, in the Valley visiting his grandparents, was enjoying making his splash on the water slides.

“It’s just a great place to be,” he said. “There is so much to do.”

Besides the usual toys and pools at the center, swim center Director Shannon Harris said there are new activities available like a new water toy called the Wibit, a giant indoor floating obstacle course that is available from 4:20-7 p.m. on Whacky Wibit Wednesday and 3-5:40 p.m. on Wild Wibit Sunday.

“It’s new this summer,” she said. ” We’ve already received over hundreds of responses from kids and even adults saying they love it and how much fun it is.”
